Whole-life and endowment products dominate Thailand's individual protection book at roughly 60% of in-force premium per TLAA 2024 industry data, with riders (health, critical illness, accident) at approximately 22%, investment-linked products (ILP/unit-linked) at 4%, and group/term/other categories at the remaining 14%. The product mix has skewed harder toward riders since 2022 as health insurance growth outpaced base policies. ILP penetration remains a small share but is the fastest-growing segment, driven by high-net-worth clients at AIA, Krungthai-AXA, and Allianz Ayudhya seeking inflation hedging.
