Thai mining and quarrying sector revenue (2020-2024)
~THB 105B (2024)
Thailand's mining and quarrying sector recorded an estimated THB 100-110 billion (~USD 2.8-3.1B) in gross output value in 2024 per the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM) and NESDC National Accounts. The series compressed in 2020 on COVID demand collapse, recovered with cement and infrastructure rebound 2021-2023, and held near peak through 2024 as Chatree gold mine restart and Banpu coal volumes lifted the topline. The sector contributes roughly 0.6-0.8% of Thailand's GDP β small in headline terms but strategically important for cement, glass, ceramics, gypsum, and the emerging lithium chain.
