Thailand Board of Investment Section 8 electric-motorcycle promoted-activity package extended Q1 2026 stacks three incentive levers: an 8-year corporate-income-tax holiday for Thai-domiciled e-motorcycle assembly, 0% import duty on battery and motor components through 2028, and a 50% capex credit on the Thai-domiciled assembly line. Honda Asian Honda Motor, Thai Yamaha Motor, and Piaggio Thailand have already secured promoted-activity certificates; Ola Electric EEC CKD assembly evaluation is pending decision. The package effectively closes the Thai-cost gap with Vietnam and Indonesia assembly hubs for the back half of the decade.
