The Thailand Board of Investment extended its Section 8 A4 Targeted Industries medical-textile incentive package in Q4 2025. The headline terms are a 10-year corporate income tax holiday (extended from the standard 8 years), a 0 percent import duty on antimicrobial coating chemistries including silver nanoparticle, copper oxide, zinc pyrithione, chitosan and quaternary ammonium, and a 50 percent capex tax credit redeemable across the first 5 years of project operation. Saha Pathana Inter-Holding, Indorama Ventures, Asia Fiber, Siam Synthetic Fiber, Sahapat Group, Singer Thailand and Thai Garment Manufacturers Association member factories have all secured Section 8 certificates between Q4 2024 and Q2 2026.
