Thailand's coconut-derived export mix is anchored by canned coconut milk and cream (roughly 38% of value), coconut water (~25%), activated charcoal from coconut shell (~15%), coir fibre and coir pith for horticulture and erosion control (~12%), and other products including desiccated coconut, coconut oil, and coconut sugar (~10%). The mix has shifted measurably since 2018 as coconut water captured beverage shelf-space, activated charcoal benefited from water-filtration demand, and coir pith found an export niche supplying European hydroponic and horticulture buyers as a peat-moss substitute.
