The BoI Long-Term Resident Visa Wealthy Pensioner category, the dominant senior long-stay LTR track, gates on age 50 and over, USD 80K annual pension income, or alternatively USD 40K pension plus a USD 250K Thai government bond, real estate or fixed deposit investment, and USD 50K of health-insurance cover. The threshold has not been rebased since the September 2022 launch; baht-dollar movement effectively eases or tightens the gate without legislative action. Threshold drift is the binding 2027 variable.
