Thailand's domestic carbon-credit registry, the Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction (T-VER) Programme run by TGO (Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization), held approximately 440 registered projects at end-2024, up from roughly 165 at end-2020. The growth reflects PTT, EGCO, Banpu, BCPG, and Indorama corporate-procurement demand for domestic offsets, plus the launch of the higher-integrity Premium T-VER methodology in 2022. Renewable-energy and energy-efficiency projects dominate the project count, with forestry, mangrove restoration, and methane-capture as smaller but growing segments.
