Laem Chabang Port (LCP), operated by the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT), handled approximately 9.0 million TEU in 2024 according to PAT monthly throughput bulletins, recovering from the 7.7M TEU COVID trough in 2020 and tracking close to its pre-pandemic peak. LCP is Thailand's primary deep-sea container gateway and ranks around the 20th-largest container port globally by throughput. The port serves the Eastern Seaboard industrial cluster (automotive, electronics, petrochemicals) with direct services to all major transhipment hubs and direct calls from Asia-Europe carriers. Hutchison Ports Thailand, Evergreen, LCMT, LCB1, and TIPS operate the principal terminals under PAT concessions.
