Reefer container slots at Laem Chabang
~6,500 reefer plugs
Laem Chabang Port's combined reefer container plug capacity across LCMT, LCB1, TIPS, Hutchison Ports Thailand, and Evergreen terminals is approximately 6,500 plugs as of 2024, per terminal-operator concession disclosures and PAT yard-equipment registers. Reefer demand at LCP is anchored by Thailand's seafood export trade (frozen shrimp, tuna, surimi), poultry and pork exports, frozen fruit (durian and longan to China), and import flows of frozen meat and dairy. The Thai Frozen Foods Association (TFFA) and Thai Customs export statistics track the underlying commodity flows. Terminal F (Phase 3) is expected to add roughly 1,500-2,000 additional reefer plugs once fully commissioned.
